Charming Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast Accommodation Just Five Miles North Of Cardiff City Centre

Gelynis Farm is situated just five miles north of the centre of Cardiff under the vista of Castell Coch. The house dates back to 1574 and the Hearth and Passage house have been lovingly restored to accommodate our 21st century guests. The farmhouse is superbly situated next to the River Taff and Taff Trail and the Brecon Beacons and coast can be reached within fifty minutes. The farm is just a ten minute drive or train ride from the centre of Cardiff, making this the ideal location for both the business and leisure visitor.

There is a pick your own fruit farm at the guest house where guests can pick a variety of seasonal fruits between the months of June and September. During the winter months when our shop is closed, Gelynis Farm Wine, honey and preserves are still available for sale at the door. Gelynis Farm Wine is produced from the vines at the farm. Both Medium Dry and Sparkling are available. We have an apiary with 7 hives producing honey from the flora found on our fruitfarm. Clear and set honey is available from the 2006 harvest.
