Firgrove Country House - Llanfwrog
A beautiful Grade 2 listed, Georgian guest house of older origins, set within lovely gardens with mature trees. Well decorated bedrooms, WIFI available.
Welcome to the Firgrove Country House, offering fantastic accommodation set within one and a half acres of mature gardens overlooking the beautiful Vale of Clwyd. This beautiful period house lies between the city of Chester and Snowdonia, only a few minutes' drive from Ruthin, famous for the Medieval at Ruthin Castle and the unique Pentonville style gaol preserved as an exhibition of 19th century prison life. Firgrove is a listed, grade 2 building of historic origins. The property was restored in the early 19th century by Lord William Bagot of Pool Park as a guest house on his estate.

Firgrove is surrounded by one and a half acres of established gardens with mature Pines and clipped and shaped Yew trees. Visitors are welcome to relax in the gardens amongst the Hydrangeas, Camellias and Magnolias, many under planted with Clematis. Philip is gradually introducing a selection of less hardy plants into the enclosed side garden and also trying to establish a small ornamental woodland corner for Ferns and shade loving plants. Nearby Ruthin is a small town steeped in history with a Norman Castle and quaint narrow streets lined with timber framed brick and stone houses around its central market square.
Rooms Description
Firgrove boasts well-appointed, quality accommodation set across two rooms and a cottage suite. The Cottage suite is within an extension of outbuildings and comprises a self contained ground floor suite of a double bedroom, sitting room and a small kitchen. Room F is within part of the house rebuilt about 1800 by Lord Bagot and is a double bedroom on the first floor. Room R is at the front of the house on the first floor with view of the prize winning garden, fields and woodland. The bedroom has a double four posted bed, multi-channel TV and clock radio.
