Maenan Abbey Hotel stands majestically in its own grounds in the heart of the Conwy Valley. This former Gentleman's residence dates back to 1850 and sits on the site of a historic 13th century Cistercian Monastery.The hotel effortlessly combines original charm and character with modern facilities to offer you comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation. Our restaurant serves a unique menu combining traditional Welsh fayre with contemporary international dishes made using local produce where possible.

There is plenty to see and do close by whilst you are enjoying your stay with us. Conwy Castle is great for history buffs, whilst Bodnant Gardens is great for flower enthusiasts. With 80 acres of beautiful gardens, it is a gardeners dream! The kids will love The Welsh Mountain Zoo which enjoys panoramic views and a range of endangered species. There are a number of beautiful towns and villages that dot the area including Portmeirion village.

All fourteen bedrooms are en-suite and offer a flexible mixture of single, doubles, twins, a four poster bridal suite and 3 family rooms. Four of these are smoking rooms. Many of the rooms enjoy spectacular views across the foothills of the Snowdonia range. Our friendly bar is open to the public and attracts many locals and regulars as well as those guests staying with us, whilst our elegant residents lounge is the perfect spot to enjoy a quiet coffee after dinner.

We can provide facilities for a variety of functions; we hold a Civil Ceremony Licence for Weddings, we can cater for private parties of different sizes, conferences and business meetings along with residential training courses - please contact us with your requirements.
