Pentre Court B&B is located just half a mile from Abergavenny. This ancient market town which has long been known as The Gateway to Wales. Overlooking the River Usk and surrounded by mountains, the most famous of which are the Sugar Loaf, Blorenge and Skirrid, it is an ideal centre for exploring the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons. Adjacent to the house are footpaths to the River Usk and Sugar Loaf Mountain. Pentre Court is an excellent base for fishing, sailing, golf, pony-trekking, hang-gliding and grass-skiing. Boat trips and walks can be taken along the tranquil Newport-Brecon canal. Within a short drive of Abergavenny are numerous castles, the most notable being Raglan, Chepstow and White Castle.

Rooms Description

Pentre Court B&B is beautifully set just inside the Brecon Beacons National Park in 4 acres of well-wooded gardens and paddock through which runs the stream Nantiago. In the garden is a heated swimming pool with diving board, changing room and sun terrace. Accommodation includes en-suite bedrooms, central heating, a dining room and drawing room with open fire and colour TV. Meals include a typical British or Continental breakfast. Evening meals can be provided by prior arrangement and packed lunches and special dietary needs can be accommodated.

Specialities

The Ryder Cup is coming to The Celtic Manor, Newport, in 2010 and accommodation will be difficult to find as thousands of Golf supporters pour into South Wales for the event. We are offering our Cottage for rent during the Ryder Cup at £8000 per week.
