The Old Rectory is perfectly placed for those who enjoy the gret outdoors. Nestling in the Welsh border countryside, the famous Offa's Dyke Path passes the garden gate and a walk along the trail will lead to White Castle, one of the many castles in the area, which can also be reached from the Three Castles Walk. Our local landmark, the Skirrid Mountain, is a pleasant climb, suitable for both casual walkers and veterans alike, with the summit offering breathtaking views of Abergavenny, nearby villages and the Black Mountains to the west. The Black Mountain ranges which include Llanthony Priory are just as enchanting. A drive over the mountains from the priory will lead you to Hay-on-Wye, reknowned for its many second hand book shops.
