Beautifully restored barn conversion sleeping 14, ideal for groups. Boasts a games room, outdoor trampoline, boules pitch & garden area. Near to historic sights

Courtyard Cottage has been completely and lovingly restored from a former dairy barn on Hopyard Farm. The cottage sleeps up to 14 guests and is therefore the perfect venue for reuniting friends, catching up with family and celebrating birthdays or anniversaries. The cottage is superbly situated in the Usk Valley and enjoys views over the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Black Mountains. The holiday cottage is only 3 miles from Abergavenny in the beautiful border county of Monmouthshire, Wales.

Amenities at the cottage include a large indoor games room with pool, snooker, table tennis and football tables. On the large lawn we have children's play equipment plus a large trampoline and a boules pitch. The surrounding area has a wealth of activities for the energetic and Monmouthshire also has its fair share of quality attractions including Tintern Abbey, the inspirational historical site for famous poet William Wordsworth, and the World Heritage site at Blaenavon. The local village of Govilon is within walking distance and boasts two pubs, general store, church, chapel and post office.

Rooms Description

We have a total of six bedrooms sleeping up to fourteen guests. The ground floor family bedroom is suitable for disabled guests. The central lounge area has comfortable seating and is equipped with a TV, video,DVD and SKY. Outside there is a large private outdoor area with garden seating.

Specialities

For groups who wish to get active we can link you up with Michael who can arrange canoeing, caving or even gorge walking. Similarly, he can organise games and activities at Hopyard Farm perfect for those competitive friends and family members! For the comfort and safety of all the cottage is non smoking throughout. Sorry, no pets.

Directions

From large roundabout on the A465/A40 at Abergavenny, take the A465 towards Merthyr Tydfil. After 3 miles at large roundabout take last exit, signed as DEAD END/NO ACCESS LANE/ 'Glanbaiden'. Follow the road past 2 houses on the left then take the next left turn. In front is the entrance to Hopyard Farm, drive through and Courtyard Cottage is located at the bottom of the yard on the left.
