Country House Hotel Spectacularly Situated In 33 Acres Of Magnificent Grounds Overlooking The Usk.

Come away to a Glorious Country House Hotel tucked away in the Brecon Beacons, South Wales. If you are looking for a small country house hotel in a spectacular location, which offers excellent food and a quality sevice, this is the hotel for you. From exploring the local country side or just having a lazy lunch next to the fire with a nice bottle of wine we can accomodate for all.

Gliffaes makes the ideal base for you to explore this magic part of the Brecon Beacons National Park, South Wales. Early spring is a wonderful time to get out into the countryside and the variety of walking in the hills around the hotel will keep you occupied for sometime! Situated 150 feet above the river Usk and in 35 acres of stunning grounds Gliffaes is the place for a wedding. We will only cater for one wedding at a time and you will never have to share the Hotel with another wedding party. At Gliffaes we do not cater for more than two Saturday weddings per month.

Rooms Description

Gliffaes has 23 bedrooms, all are individually decorated and furnished and all have private bathrooms, a number of which are twin bedded. All rooms have private bathrooms. We have 2 luxury double rooms with river views and balcony. 2 large double with river view.1 four poster bedroom with garden views. We have 10 standard, 4 large doubles, 4 small doubles. Most of the large doubles have a DVD player and we have a portable DVD player which can be brought into other rooms. The hotel has a small collection of around 30 films.

Specialities

If you are after challenging fishing for wild brown trout on some of the most challenging, varied and beautiful stretches of river in the country then the Usk at Gliffaes is for you. There are a wide variety of activities available both within the hotel and its grounds.
