Clyngwyn Bunkhouse and B&B are set within the beautiful countryside of the Brecon Beacons National Park, directly on the doorstep of the area's largest group of magnificent waterfalls. The four star rated 19 bed bunkhouse is well suited to larger groups who are seeking some space in which to enjoy the rural surrounds. Our flexible range of accommodation allows us to cater for a wide range of group holidays, family holidays, schools, parties, reunions and weddings/civil partnerships.

The accommodation is situated close to the famous caves and waterfalls at Ystradfellte, South Wales, the first of which can be found just a 500 metre walk from the bunkhouse and B&B. Among the outdoor activities available locally are gorge walking, canyoning, caving, abseiling, climbing, quad biking, photography and painting. Alternatively, you may be seeking the perfect venue for a family reunion or group holiday in an area where your party can enjoy nature at its very best.

Rooms Description

Group accommodation is available for a maximum of 19 people in the bunkhouse (plus camping in the grounds but only if part of the main bunkhouse group). The Bunkhouse has a fully equipped kitchen with full gas central heating which ensures a nice cosy stay at the bunkhouse. For relaxation, the bunkhouse has a television, DVD and CD player downstairs in the lounge. A choice of double and twin B&B guest rooms are also available in the adjacent 17th Century longhouse.

Outside we have a purpose built circular area with large barbeque and fire pit. Ideal for enjoying a relaxing evening sitting and eating whilst taking in the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains of the Brecon Beacons.With your stunning Pontneddfechan accommodation comes 4 acres of land for your exclusive enjoyment. Dogs and horses are welcome by arrangement.

Directions

Leave the M4 at either junction 32 (A470 for about 11 miles then onto A465 towards Neath), or Junction 43 (A465). Travel along the A465 until you get to Glynneath and take this exit. Drive until you reach the traffic lights then follow the signs for Pontneddfechan, (Pontneathvaughan) & Waterfalls. (Once in Pontneddfechan you will find a visitor information office opposite the Angel public house, behind this pub is located the kissing gate leading to the waterfalls on the rivers Neath and Pyrddin). To get to Clyngwyn, Ystradfellte and the waterfalls of the rivers Mellte & Hepste, proceed through Pontneddfechan and take the left fork sign-posted to Ystradfellte (B4242). Follow this road for approximately 1 mile, (2.5km), and drive over a cattle grid. Drive until you reach a small car park on the right, just before the second cattle grid. The lane to Clyngwyn can be found alongside this car park marked by our farm sign. We can be seen as a large white farmhouse set back off the road on the same side as the car park. The Bunkhouse is in the farm yard adjacent to the main white farmhouse.
