Dan-y-Parc is a 17th century farmhouse beautifully situated with panoramic views over the surrounding mountains. The house is ideally situated for touring South, West and Mid Wales and is surrounded by castles and other places of historical interest. The area is located on the border of the Brecon Beacons National Park and there are many footpaths and breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside.
There is a small woodland walk leading from the house where visitors will find some of the oldest oak trees in Wales, some of which are over 600 years old. In addition to this there is a gorge with cascading waterfall which is a haven for many species of birds. Visitors can often see the Red Kite species circling overhead. A hearty cooked or continental beakfast can be enjoyed in our dining room. Homemade evening meals are also available, cooked using a variety of fresh local produce. Vegetarians and other special dietary requirements are happily catered for.
