The Barn House is a small family run Bed & Breakfast where Welsh is spoken. There is a choice of traditional, vegetarian or vegan breakfast available at flexible times. We are a non-smoking establishment. Children and pets (by prior arrangement) are welcome.
The Barn House, which is set in its own grounds in a tranquil position on the edge of Llanon with a lovely view of Cardigan Bay. Yet only 50 yards off the main A487 road which is one of the most picturesque coastal routes in Wales. The village of Llanon takes its name from Non, mother of St. David, the patron Saint of Wales who is thought to have been brought up here. This is a place where vacation time can be divided between the traditional seaside and the beauty of the countryside with walkers enjoying the landscape with views of mountains, green valleys, lakes and waterfalls. Aberystwyth with the National Library of Wales, University of Wales and the famous Cliff Railway only 11 miles North, slightly further a field is Machynlleth with the Centre of Alternative Technology, Celtica and King Arthur's Labyrinth. To the South is Aberaeron with its Georgian architecture, Sea Aquarium and Honey Ice Cream Parlour just 4 miles away. Next is New Quay renowned for its Sea Life Boat Trips and Dolphin sightings. Inland to Tregaron an historic drovers Market Town where you can visit Rhiannon's Welsh Gold Centre and various studios of Local Potters, Woodworkers and Craftsmen
