The Don is a family run bed & breakfast in Blaenau Ffestiniog with traditional breakfasts at competitive prices. The guest house is superbly located at the heart of Snowdonia National Park and there are a wide range of attractions to be found in the local area including the famous Ffestiniog Steam Railway, the Llechwedd Slate Caverns and Portmeirion Village. Snowdon is just half an hour away and there are fabulous views of the mountains to the rear of the property. Walkers will find no shortage of walks in the area and a local guide can be arranged to take you out on a walk designed for your level of ability.

The Don has a character of its own, lots of history, many guises over the years. The location is stunning. It is on the main road to Blaenau, but step through the door and the Moelwyn Mountains stare at you - the view is fantastic. As The Don is licenced you can have an early evening tipple, or an late night cap whilst surveying the maps for the next day adventure. A 2-course evening meal is available - home cooked and prepared to order. A self service breakfast is provided each morning with cereals, fresh bread, croissants, toast, tea and coffee, followed by traditional cooked breakfast with a choice of bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans and hash browns, or you can have everything! Vegetarian sausages are also available.

We have 4 rooms, 2 en-suite with stunning views to the rear of the property and 2 rooms en-suiteto the front of the property. We can cater for families and children or pets. We have a travel cot and high chair so babies and toddlers are welcome. If you have any questions or comments during your stay please do not hesitate to talk to us.
Specialities
Walkers, cyclists and bikers are welcome as well - Bikes can be securely stored in the garage area, and damp muddy clothing can be dried off! Pack lunches can be provided on request. There is plenty of literature on walks and cycle routes in the area to read through.

Directions
The Don is situated on the High Street, about 10 minutes walk from the Station. As you leave the station, turn right and walk/drive up the hill. We are on the right about half a mile. We are easily accessible from the North, via Betws-y-Coed and the A470'`with access to Llandudno, Colwyn Bay and other attractions. From the south'`the A470 from Dolgellau provides good access from Shrewsbury and the Midlands and also to South Wales. There is very limited parking at The Don, but there is a car-park nearby. There is a main-line train station in the town and local pick up could be arranged at the time of booking if required. Major bus routes also go through Blaenau Ffestiniog to all areas.
