Following the A55 North Wales Expressway, you will cross the Menai Straits over Stevenson's "modern" bridge. Come off immediately after you have crossed the bridge and follow the signs to Menai Bridge and Beaumaris taking the right turn under the A55. Go carefully through Menai Bridge as the police often have a speed trap there for the unaware. The road takes you along the Menai Straits (to your right). Go through Beaumaris, passing the Beaumaris Castle on your left. Continue for about 1.5 miles and take the first right turning to Penmon. Lleiniog Castle is on the left after approximately one mile just past a public car park on your right and the entrance to the cottages is via the second drive.
