Bwlchmelyn nestles in peaceful, picturesque countryside on the border of Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire. This charming 19th Century farmhouse is situated just outside Llanfallteg and enjoys an elevated position overlooking the valley in which the village is located. Visitors can take a walk along the bridle path which leads directly from our door to the village via the local pub and along the banks of the River Taf. The pub is a traditional rural pub selling real ales and is a haven from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Farms in the locality specialise in the production of cheese, chocolate and crafts and are well worth a visit. Evening meals are available at Bwlchmelyn where every dish is homemade using local produce when available - even Gordon Ramsay would be impressed! We are surrounded by a range of good local restaurants and are only too happy to recommend one, or even book a table for you.

The popular beaches of Amroth and Saundersfoot are just a fifteen minute drive away, perfect for a day's relaxing by the sea. Alternatively, explore the unique craft shops and galleries of nearby Narberth, a quaint market town. Derrick and Sarah pride themselves on the relaxed and informal atmosphere at Bwlchmelyn, the perfect place for a 'home from home' break, away from the stresses of modern life. Start the day with a hearty home cooked Welsh breakfast, freshly prepared using local ingredients and served at a time that suits you. From there, you could choose to take morning coffee and read the papers in the lounge, or outside in the gazebo or summerhouse overlooking the pond. We also have a Spa, a small gym and bicycles which are available for your use. Shiatzu, massage and beauty treatments are also available on request. We offer a choice of three rooms. One has a King size bed and one a Superking size bed, both with access to a private bathroom. The Honeymoon Suite has a Superking size bed, private balcony with beautiful views and optional private dining. The rooms are equipped with Colour Television, Freeview, Dressing Gowns and Beverage Tray. We also provide bottled water and homemade cookies!
