A family run sixteenth Century inn located in Llandovery, between Carmarthen and Brecon on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The inn has been completely refurbished to offer modern comforts yet still retains many of its original features, including traditional woodburning fireplace and exposed beams. The inn is well placed for touring this wonderfully scenic area and opportunities for outdoor pursuits abound in the surrounding countryside.
Llandovery is a small market town and has a host of small unique shops and cafes to explore. Four rivers course along the narrow valley floor and each is ideal for salmon and river fishing. The town has a rich history with a Norman castle and at the nearby heritage centre you can learn about Twm Sion Cati, the notorious highwayman, and William William Pantycelyn, the famous Welsh hymn writer.
