The nearby villages of Maentwrog and Gellilydan have a very good bus service to Porthmadog, Bangor, Dolgellau, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Harlech, Barmouth and Aberystwyth. A steam train can be boarded just a five minute drive away from the accommodation, on which you can travel through the countryside and mountains to Blaenau Ffestiniog and Porthmadog. A number of pubs serving delicious food and a variety of ales can be found within easy walking distance.
