Quality well eqipped one-bedroom small but cosy seaside cottage apartment sleeping 2+sofabed in Gower, dogs welcome. Walk to beach/pub/food, own parking.

Dai and Heather Howells welcome you to their cottage apartment, "Wagtails" Wagtails cottage apartment is a ground floor 1 double-bedroom s/c cottage apartment, with own parking to the front door. It's double bed is ensuite, and the bathroom is spotlessly clean. The apartment is only small, but cosy, and full of surprisingly many home comforts and luxury touches e.g. DAB radios, SKY tv, DVD player with many films etc, Denby crockery and quality bed/bedding not to mention off road parking to the door. We have minimised the soft-furnishings (laminate flooring throughout and leather sofas). Our usual guests group size is a couple (occasionally we have hosted families with up to two children who want quality and comfort as well as a great location, but either can't find or don't need a larger full size cottage). There is a quality leather metal action sofabed in the lounge (new Feb 08) suitable for one or two children. Therefore the cottage apartment can sleep a family of up to four and has done so but we feel it fair to say Wagtails is too small for most such groups. Dishwasher, fridge, microwave, hob, oven, toaster, kettle, SKYtv, DVD, shaver point, WC (no saniflow). Dogs welcome by agreement. For those not so mobile we provide, on request, a WC 'steady frame' with sidearms and a Shower seat (place in bath) plus handrails on and above bath for those with more limited mobility.

Wagtails has its own parking and front door entrance (no shared entrance). Wagtails is literally a one minute walk to the local community shop (great local produce) and 15 mins gorgeous stroll down to the local beaches at Whiteford/Llanmadoc/Broughton beaches, or just sit out the rear garden and relax. One of Gower's truly stunning circular maritime coastal walks awaits you at Cwm Ivy Woods (NT) just down Cwm Ivy lane (NB: quite steep lane for 100 yds). You can also walk over Llanmadoc Hill to Llangennith and catch the hourly bus back to the front door. Rooms Description

Wagtails Apartment has one double bedroom, with door through to bathroom, and solid oak wardrobe and chest of drawers. It has a bedside cabinet with DAB radio and good reception with alarm. The other bedroom door takes you into lounge which itself flows through to kitchenette (small table and chairs) and front door.

Specialities

Recently adapted for those less mobile with special bathroom adaptations. Has wall handle. Also available on request is loo frame and shower seat. We have sectioned and fenced off (very tastefully) the large Wagtails rear garden (walk through our garden to it but feel free to do so). The Wagtails garden has a gate and portico archway into a mature shrubs/roses and lawned area with Gas BBQ and Teak Table and 6 chairs, plus park bench. Also garden features a small 'summer house' with rug and two seats and table inside (and a portable DAB radio) to enable you to sit out of the breeze or rain and enjoy reading your Sunday paper with mug of tea or glass of wine whilst watching the nutfeeders!
