Flanesford Priory provides unique historical self catering accommodation nestled beneath Gooddrich Castle in the heart of the Wye Valley. The priory lies in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is steeped in history, with the cathedral cities of Hereford, Gloucester and Worcester all within an hour's drive. The attractive market town of Ross on Wye is just a ten minute drive away and the village shop and public house at Goodrich are within easy walking distance of the apartments.
Flanesford Priory was mentioned in the Domesday Book and, until the dissolution act of 1537, housed an order of Augustinian Monks. In the early 1600's the Priory buildings were gradually adapted into farm buildings and were used as such until they were converted into holiday apartments in 1980. Little has changed on the outside, yet inside the building has been lovingly converted to provide luxurious self catering accommodation for between two and ten people.
