There are picturesque walks from the door and other great rambles nearby in the stunningly beautiful countryside. The local Welsh-speaking town of Ruthin, 10 miles away, was recently voted one of the most desirable country towns in the UK in a Daily Telegraph poll and has great pubs, eating places and shops as well as supermarkets etc. Popular and pretty Llangollen, host to the International Eisteddfod, is just 15 miles distant and is a centre for outdoor activities as well as boasting good eating out. The Snowdonia National Park and all of its attractions is less than 30 mins drive, and the foot of Mount Snowdon 10 mins further. Perfectly situated for exploring the whole of Nth. Wales, there is also plenty to do in the largely undiscovered and less crowded local area, walking, watersports, mountain biking, yoga, golf, horse riding and fishing.
