There are picturesque walks from the door and other great rambles nearby in the stunningly beautiful countryside. The local Welsh-speaking town of Ruthin, 10 miles away, was recently voted one of the most desirable country towns in the UK in a Daily Telegraph poll and has great pubs, eating places and shops as well as supermarkets etc. Popular and pretty Llangollen, host to the International Eisteddfod, is just 15 miles distant and is a centre for outdoor activities as well as boasting good eating out. The Snowdonia National Park and all of its attractions is less than 30 mins drive, and the foot of Mount Snowdon 10 mins further. Perfectly situated for exploring the whole of Nth. Wales, there is also plenty to do in the largely undiscovered and less crowded local area, walking, watersports, mountain biking, yoga, golf, horse riding and fishing.
Rooms Description
The FARMHOUSE has, on one side: a large character-full double bedroom with king-size four poster bed, antique furniture, a child's fold-away bed and a travel cot; a smaller equally charming room with twin beds (particularly suitable for children), one of which stows under the other for single occupancy; a bright bathroom with large cast-iron bath; and the large landing with antique desk and day-bed (which can sleep one). All the windows in the rooms on this side have views of the farm yard and countryside. The farmhouse kitchen-diner below has a table for 10 and is well equipped, with a range for the winter months. On the other side there is, through the oak-panelled TV room, a staircase leading to: the second very spacious double-bedroom which has a king-sized double bed (hand made from local beech), a wooden cot and far reaching views across fields in two directions; and delightful bedroom with twin beds (which can be made, given prior notice, into a super-king double) also with views in two directions. The second bathroom, with shower over bath, is downstairs on this side, though not too far.
