The Town House is situated centrally within the medieval walled town of Conwy sitting directly opposite the Castle and so offering guests the best possible views of the Castle and its walls. The Town House was built during the Victorian era circa 1849 and refurbished to a high standard by the present owners to ensure that our guests have a memorable experience. Our cleanliness and quality of service has been recognised by the Wales Tourist Board (WTB) who have given the Town House a 4 Star quality rating. The proprietors Alan and Elaine Naughton hold the Gold award from the WTB for the Welcome Host Scheme, and the Gold award from the Conwy County Council for a completely smoke free environment.
Conwy is one of the best examples of a medieval walled town to be found in Europe. The town really began to take shape when King Edward I built the castle between 1283 and 1289 as one of his main fortresses in North Wales. The castle walls which encircle the town and stretch for more than a mile are protected by twenty two towers. Conwy Castle is a World Heritage Site
