Each chalet has two bedrooms and sleeps up to five people.There are three Dyfi Chalets, available separately or together, (discount negotiable for more than one chalet) so perfect for an extended family or group of friends wanting to stay together: up to 15 can be accommodated in total. The chalets overlook the River Dyfi which meanders by on its way to the sea, passing through spectacular mountain scenery on the way. The nearest village is Pennal, a small cluster of stone cottage and chapels, which boasts two shops, a pub and a post office.
The nearby historic town of Machynnleth was once the ancient capital of Wales and is now a leading centre of alternative technology, family holidays and eco tourism. There is a weekly market which provides the perfect opportunity to sample the local produce and get a real feel for local life. An Outward Bound Centre lies between Aberdyfi and the chalets where visitors can arrange for tuition in the arts of sailing or canoeing. The surrounding hills and mountains offer plentiful opportunities for walking, from everything to a light ramble to a full on hike.
