Charming farmhouse bed and breakfast accommodation with wonderful rural views, close to Hay on Wye, Llandrindod Wells and Builth Wells in beautiful Wales

Llanowen Farmhouse has wonderful views over the natural meadows and woodland of our own south west facing valley to the hills beyond. The glorious countryside is superb for walking and horse riding. The famous book town of Hay on Wye and the spa towns of Builth Wells and Llandrindod Wells are each within 10 miles. The pale pink stone cottage is a traditional Welsh longhouse dating back to the 15th Century. Downstairs there is a spacious farmhouse kitchen/living room and a comfortable, pretty sitting room with a woodburner. The large sunny terrace and 'wild-meadow' garden is ideal for relaxing in good weather. At the front of the house in the ancient courtyard of stone barns where the hens, often with chicks at foot, roam freely.

The farmbuildings and meadows are home to five ponies, a retired Jersey house cow, two geese, a flock of hens and cockerels. In the house there is a resident dog and a cat. Guests can bring their own horses or ride at Bryngwn, the excellent local riding school. The animals, the beauty of the landscape, the bohemian warmth and charm of the house and the sheer tranquillity make this a perfect place for a retreat or a base for exploring this stunning and largely undiscovered part of mid-Wales.

Rooms Description

There are two double bedrooms, the larger with a king size bed, and a single bedroom. There are two bathrooms. There is also the possibility of campers' bunkhouse accommodation in the studio.
