Tintern Old Rectory Bed & Breakfast is set amidst stunning Welsh countryside, overlooking the River Wye in the pretty village of Tintern. Tintern is located in the the spectacular Wye Valley, a designated 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'. The Old Rectory has magnificent gardens which attract wild woodland animals, including deer. The gardens are the perfect place to relax with cream tea, berries & scones, enjoy a game of croquet or simply take in the glorious views. Inside the Old Rectory, guests can expect charmingly decorated en-suite bedrooms, a gracious, welcoming sitting room and an attractive dining room all with river views. Additionally, we offer a family suite with its own private entrance and stone patio area, especially handy for guests with pets.

Tintern is a paradise for walkers, directly on Offa's Dyke trail, & Wye Valley walk, with 37 miles of footpaths to explore. The magic of Tintern Abbey is a short stroll away, along with excellent pubs and restaurants nearby the Old Rectory. Tintern is just 6 miles from Chepstow and further nearby places of interest include Monmouth, Abergavenny, the Forest of Dean, Raglan, Usk, Caldicot, Newport and Cardiff. If castles interest you, visit Chepstow Castle, Caldicot Castle, Abergavenny Castle and Raglan Castle. Other places worth exploring are the Nelson Museum, Clearwell Caves, Perrygrove Railway, Abergavenny Museum, Big Pit - National Mining Museum of Wales, Newport Museum, Art Gallery and many more.

Rooms Description

The Old Rectory offers king size and twin rooms as well as a pet friendly family suite. All rooms have a digital television, a tea service, Egyptian cotton linens, down duvets and garden flowers. There is a sitting room for guests with comfortable seating and a warm wood fire on chilly evenings.

Specialities

Hypoallergenic bedding and ironing facilities are available, along with clothes drying following a wet walk. Tasty packed lunches can be provided as well as mouthwatering cream teas and delicious homemade dinners if previously requested. Binoculars, hand-made walking sticks and walking maps are also available to take with you on your adventures. Fair Trade products and local produce used whenever possible.
