Twmpath Cottages are 2 pretty properties set in the heart of the rural Welsh village of Wick. The cottages named 'Primrose' and 'Bluebell' are comfortably furnished and are full of character with exposed stone walls, wooden beams and open fires. The gardens surrounding the cottages are fully enclosed, enabling your children and/or pets to play safely. The cottages are fully equipped for an easy self catering holiday and there is a village shop and pub just a hop, skip and a jump away. The nearest beach is only 1.5 mile walk or a 5 minute drive will bring you to one of the many sandy beaches or pebbly coves that the dramatic Vale of Glamorgan Heritage coastline has to offer.

The cottages are an ideal base for walking and cycling and the nearby beaches are perfect for surfing, fishing and walking. Additionally there is a golf course nearby and stables where you can go horse riding. The nearest towns are the historic Llantwit Major and market town of Cowbridge where you will find numerous restaurants, cafes and shops. The cities of Cardiff and Swansea can both be reached within a 30 minute drive and an hours drive will take you to the Brecon Beacons or Gower Peninsula.

Rooms Description

The ground floor of the Primrose Cottage comprises of a sitting room with colour television, Freeview, DVD player, VCR, games and books. There is also a dining area and a kitchen with electric cooker, microwave and fridge freezer. Additionally there is a shower room with W/C. The first floor has a front bedroom with a single bed and bunk beds and the rear bedroom has a double bed and small veranda area. Bluebell Cottage has a similar layout to Primrose but is slightly bigger with a separate dining room, inglenook fireplace and stone spiral staircase. Both cottages have a selection maps and books of local interest.

Specialities

Guests are advised to bring their own towels but owners can provide towels at request . There is off road parking for one car per cottage. The cottage benefits from gas central heating and along with the electricity and bed linen is included in the price. Well behaved pets are welcome by prior arrangement at no extra cost. We can also make arrangements for occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries with decorations, flowers, hampers etc. As the cottages are adjacent to each other, this it is particulary convenient as both cottages can booked together for a large family/ group celebration or gathering.
