This self catering property is based in the Welsh Valleys and is a real treat, having just won the 4* Visit Wales Tourist Award. Like most of the terraced houses in the valley, the property was originally a miner's home. It retains it's traditional charm while enjoying a comfortable & modern refurbishment. There is a train station within 5 minutes walk from the house with trains every 15 minutes into Cardiff and Caerphilly, making the house convenient for the Millennium Stadium. The house features a private decked area with seating, leading down to a gravel garden with attractive raised flower beds. We have 3 bedrooms, one double, one twin and one single. The cottage has good mobile phone and Internet signal. A welcome pack with milk, tea and bread will be ready for your arrival.

Kids will love Techniquest, a multi coloured, multi faceted learning experience in the stylish Cardiff docks. Adults will enjoy the urban glamour of the Bay development, or the excellent shopping in the city's heart. The new multi million pound St Davids shopping centre has just opened right in the city centre. The National Museum of Wales also has excellent art exhibitions. You can try many local outdoor activities including mountain biking, hiking, climbing or simply visiting the mountain cascades. See the fairytale Folly on your way, or visit the majestic ruins of Caerphilly Castle.

Upstairs we have three bedrooms, one double, one with two single beds and one single.All are beautifully decorated. Downstairs, there is a lovely bright dining area, a living room with a double sofa bed (for those wishing to be nearer the bathroom), a fully fitted kitchen, and a bathroom with bath, shower and shaver point. A door leads to a large decked private seating area with steps down to a long gravel garden with raised flower beds. There is a good view of the next valley from the decked area, ideal for alfresco dining. There is Free Sat TV, DVD player and Radio and CD Player for your entertainment.

Recently awarded 4* Visit Wales award! Well behaved dogs are very welcome but in consideration to other guests we ask that they are kept downstairs and off the furniture. It is a non smoking property throughout. There is Free Sat TV, DVD player and Radio and CD Player for your entertainment. Also free broadband. There is good mobile reception. All towels,bedding and electricity are included in the price

Directions
From the North / Brecon: Take A470 to Cardiff. From the South/ M4 Leave the motorway at junction32 onto A470 signposted Merther Tydfil Then Leave A470 onto A472 signposted Ystrad Mynach. Follow the A472 to Ystrad Mynach From Ystrad Mynach take the A469 to Bargoed. There is a 24hour Tesco on your left. Continue towards Bargoed. Pass under the viaduct. Stay on this road for a while. Pass Aldi on the right. You will see Denmans builders merchant and garden center on the right then new houses on the left. Turn left into the one way lane. The Hanbury Street sign is on our wall between the new houses and older terraced houses. Ours is the first house on the corner of the lane. Please note - the turning into the one way street is easy to miss (most people do) so its best to start indicating as soon as you pass Denmans. There is a pedestrian island just before the turn.
