Awarded 4 Stars by the Welsh Tourist Board, these delightful cottages belong to the farmhouse which is set in 60 acres of beautiful and peaceful countryside. Close to the Preseli Hills the cottages make the ideal holiday base for a relaxing and rewarding holiday. Pets are welcome and the farm provides stabling for your horse.

The Cefn-Du Cottages are near to the Pembrokeshire National Park with a wealth of beautiful coastal walks including the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. The farm is set in the base of a small valley and is completely surrounded by its own land. A short walk to the top of the hill gives a spectacular view of the rolling Welsh hills where it is thought that the rocks that form Stonehenge were carved out from. Cefn-Du (pronounced Kevin Dee) is a working farm complete with miniature shetland ponies, pigs, geese, ducks, chickens, a sheep and a cow called 'Toffee'. Cefn-Du Holiday Cottages are ideally situated for visiting all areas of Wales with the coast a short drive away, the picturesque market towns of Cardigan and Carmarthen within easy reach. There are also a large range of outdoor activities nearby including walking, cycling, horse riding and fishing.

Rooms Description

Cefn-Du Cottages comprise of 3 separate cottages. Swallows Barn, a new barn conversion which sleeps 6, Red Kite Cottage, a 2 Barn conversion which sleeps 2, and Shetland Cottage a single storey cottage attached to the farm house which also sleeps 2. Red Kite and Swallows Barn will be joined by a dividing door, which can be opened for larger parties of up to 8 people. All cottages are: Centrally heated. An additional fan heater is supplied for your comfort. Stocked with the usual kitchen utensils, and tea towels are provided. Equipped with a washing machine, with clothes horse and outside rotary drier. Equipped with a television, freeview and DVD player. Provided with bedding and towels. Cot can be provided on request. Pets are welcome and the farm provides stabling for your horse.

DOGS - Dogs are welcome. 2 dogs welcome, others by arrangement. Purpose built kennels will also be available in 2009, so you can leave your dogs for the day, secure in the knowledge that they are safe. HORSES - We have a new stable block with full amenities and an all weather ménage available for you to use. We can also supply hay if you need it. Please enquire for more information. FARM PRODUCE - We can supply you with farm produce, bacon, sausages, gammon, chops and eggs. (subject to availability)
