Welcome to the Tan Yr Eglwys Cottage! Here you are sure to receive a warm and friendly greeting whilst being presented with a lovely welcome tray of tea, coffee, milk and freshly made traditional cake. Enjoy staying in one of our two large and wonderfully furnished self catering cottages. These stone built properties make great holiday cottages for families, couples or groups as they sleep 5- 6 each. Relax on a chilly evening in front of the log fire in Cottage One. Or enjoy a fun filled BBQ outside, provided at both properties.

We are ideally located in a peaceful and rural hamlet in South Wales, ideal for a tranquil or romantic getaway! Whilst the village is small and quaint we are within a short drive to many attractions and amenities. Why not visit the nearby Gower beaches for a day of relaxing or water sports. The Brecon Beacons National Park is within easy reach and offers amazing scenery and walks. We offer a selection of speciality breaks for those interested in different activities and interests, such as craft or Welsh language courses!

Rooms Description

We offer two cottages No 1 sleeping 6 and No 2 sleeping 4-5. Cottage One the larger property has Master bedroom with a kingsize bed, a double room with two single beds and two single rooms. Our Cottage Two sleeps 5 in a Master bedroom with kingsize bed, a single bedroom with single bed and an additional pull out bed, and a downstairs single bedroom. Cottage 1 has unique fireplace with woodburning stove.

Specialities

Car parking available. No smoking or pets are allowed inside the cottage. Bed linen, towels and tea towels provided. There is secure bike storage and washing facilities. A travel cot and high chair are available plus toys, children's books and games.

Directions

Directions to No's 1 & 2 Tan Yr Eglwys Join M4 and travel WEST towards BRIDGEND, PORT TALBOT, NEATH & SWANSEA. Continue on M4 and exit at junction 43 Neath/Merthyr. Take the 3rd exit at this roundabout signed NEATH. Take next left major exit again signed PONTARDAWE/NEATH. At the roundabout take the 1st exit signed PONTARDAWE. Move over to right hand line in preparation for the next roundabout. There is a TESCO supermarket on the left hand side. Take the 3rd exit from the roundabout signed PONTARDAWE. Travel along this road through one junction(traffic lights) then under Railway bridge. At the next 2 roundabouts take the 1st exit. After the second roundabout you should be travelling up a hill (Pen y wern hill). Follow this road for approx. 7kms. Enter the village of RHOS pass Smiths Arms and Chapel on right hand side. Take the next right turn, signed CILYBEBYLL (you should see a TELEPHONE BOX on the right). Drive straight on into the countryside. At the big white house on the right hand side carry straight on. At the next cross roads turn left signed CILYBEBYLL CHURCH. Drive on past the church, park on top of the hill and telephone mobile number. YOU HAVE ARRIVED.
