Riverside Lodge provides four star guest accommodation in the beautiful Elan Valley near Rhayader. The River Elan is a major tributary of the River Wye and the surrounding area is known as the Lakeland of Wales. The guest house is nestled amongst picturesque countryside just over a mile from the attractive market town of Rhayader to the east and close to the dams and reservoirs to the west. The surrounding countryside is ideal for outdoor activities such as hill walking, mountain biking, cycling, fishing and more sedate activities such as painting. Alternatively, simply sit and relax with a glass of wine in the garden and enjoy the wonderful riverside setting.

Following an enjoyable day spent exploring the delights of the surrounding area guests are welcome to relax in the guest lounge which enjoys panoramic views of the River Elan and surrounding countryside. A TV, video, CD and audio player are provided for your entertainment along with a library of books, puzzles, games etc. Start the day with a delicious full Welsh breakfast in the restaurant which overlooks the river where you can watch the birds go about their business from your table. Optional evening meals are also available by request (except in the summer season) and home cooking with local produce is our speciality.

Riverside Lodge offers a choice of standard and en-suite double, twin and single rooms. All are complete with tea and coffee making facilities, central heating, double glazing, clock radio and panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Hairdryers, irons and ironing boards are available on request, as are cots for those travelling with young children.

Specialities

All rooms at Riverside Lodge are located on the ground floor making it ideal for guests with mobility problems. The property is non smoking throughout. Walkers and cyclists are welcome.
