Island House B&B was built in 1860 and is the birth place of evangelistic revivalist Evan Roberts, renowned for starting the 1904-1905 revival in South Wales. The Ellis family acquired the property in 1987 and is only the third family to have lived in the property. Tastefully refurbished to a very high standard, whilst retaining all its original features including beamed ceilings and an open fireplace, this is the ideal accommodation for a relaxing break. Situated in the old village of Bwlchymynydd, the property is within easy reach of Swansea, Gower Peninsula, Llanelli and the rest of South Wales.

Island House B&B is a traditional family home offering bed and breakfast accommodation that is suitable for families, couples or single persons - rated 2 star with Visit Wales, the Welsh Tourist Board. With a large garden that incorporates a heated swimming pool, summer house, lawns and a children’s play area, this is ideal place to keep the whole family entertained. The property is fronting onto the Loughor Estuary Park which is ideal for walks, and there are a number of public houses within easy walking distance for evening meals and Sunday luncheon.

Island House B&B accommodation comprises: 1 twin, 2 double and 1 large family room (sleeps 2 double 1 single & put u up bed or cot available). All bedrooms have digital Freeview TV, tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities. The Guest Lounge has a TV incorporating Digital freeview channels plus DVD player. There is WIFI internet access throughout the house. There is off road parking at the B&B and a Heated Outdoor Swimming Pool with summer house, large garden which won The Swansea in Bloom competition in 2008 (unable to enter 2009 due to injury). There are superb views over the Loughor Estuary. Breakfast offers a choice of Full cooked farmhouse style breakfast with Welsh Option (including local delicacy Cockles and Lava Bread (pre order only 48 hours notice required)).
