Wales is the home of outdoor activities and adventure holidays, with a range of sports and watersports available. Activity holiday centres abound, particularly around the national parks, Pembrokeshire and top surfing hotspots including Cardigan Bay and the Gower and Swansea Bay.
The Welsh Tourist Board inspects Wales Activity Holiday centres (look for the logo). Operators featuring under the scehme have been inspected under the WTB's accreditation scheme for activities and have a statutory licence from the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA). Alternatively, the Activity Centre will have been approved by a recognised National Governing Body of Sport or Trade (for example the British Surfing Association/BSA).
