Cardiff International Airport is perfectly placed for access into Cardiff City centre, which is just 12 miles away. The Aiport is located in Rhoose, just a 10 minute drive off junction 33 on the M4. Ample short stay parking, long stay parking, business parking and disabled parking is available on-site (cheaper if you pre-book long-stay parking online - see Cardiff Airport website to the right). Cardiff Airport also has excellent facilities including a selection of shops with Tax and Duty Free shop included, large departure lounges, plenty of cashpoints and banking facilities with all major currencies available and a choice of food and drink outlets including the aptly named Crum Half Bar!

Cheap Flights Cardiff Airport & Getting to Cardiff Airport

Cardiff International Airport is well served by a selection of Scheduled Airlines, making it easy to access Cardiff by air from numerous UK and major European destinations. Airlines offering direct scheduled flights to Cardiff include Air Southwest, BMI Baby, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, and Eastern Airways. On the Charter Flight service side, all your big names are here at Cardiff Airport including Airtours, First Choice, JMC and Thomas Cook.

With such great prices available on Scheduled Flights these days, flying into Cardiff for a short or long break can save you time, and indeed money! Car hire services are excellent at Cardiff International Airport, and Avis, Europcar, Hertz and National Alamo all have a presence. Pick up your car hire in Cardiff on arrival and away you go exploring not just Cardiff, but all of the South Wales!

Getting to and from Cardiff International Airport couldn't be easier. Situated just 12 miles to the west of Cardiff City Centre, to get to Cardiff Airport by road exit at junction 33 on the M4 and follow the A4232. Then you're off at the first exit of the A4232 at Culverhouse Cross and continue following signs for the airport on the A050/A4226.

Cardiff International Airport Terminal is connected to Cardiff Central by rail! And guess what, the shuttle bus running from Rhoose to Cardiff International station is Free! Bus services to and from Cardiff Airport are superb too, with the X91 running between Cardiff Central Station and Cardiff Airport hourly from Mondays to Saturdays, and on Sundays and Bank Holidays every 2 hours.

Cardiff Airport Parking Information

Parking on the Cardiff International Airport complex is good value - day rates are as low as Â£3 per day which compares well to other UK airports! The first 20 minutes in short stay parking is also free! All Cardiff Airport parking is conveniently positioned close to the main Terminal Building.

Short Stay parking operates by ticket given on entrance, and pay on foot machines before you come back to your car. CCTV is throughout Cardiff Airport Short Stay car parks. Short Stay is for parking needed for less than one day - if you need parking for longer you'll find cheaper rates in the long stay parking area.

If you prebook your long stay parking at Cardiff International Airport you'll save upto 57 percent, so well worth doing (check the pre-book carparking weblink right for details). Note for pre-booked parking, you'll need to visit the NCP customer services desk in the Arrivals Hall before you return to your car to get the parking ticket cleared! Others can pay in the pay on foot machines in the terminal building. CCTV is throughout long stay parking areas, and there's some great rates including parking from Â£2.73 per day, and a Â£14 all in weekend rate!
