Pembrokeshire Beaches Holidays Surfing Windsurfing

Welcome to Pembrokeshire beaches and coastline! If you didn't know it, Pembrokeshire has a huge number of blue flag beaches now at the beginning of 2007 standing at 33 blue flag beaches. (the Welsh coast in total has 109 blue flag beaches - a huge number as compared to the rest of the UK!). Pembrokeshire, more than any other county in the UK, has received the most seaside awards for its beaches. So if you're a beach lover, and a fan of surfing, windsurfing, kite surfing, coasteering, scuba diving in crystal clear waters or just great family fun seaside holidays then the place to head is Pembrokeshire, West Wales. Great news then for family fun seaside holidays in West Wales. Many beaches around the key West Wales family resorts have superbly clean beaches. Tenby for example has pretty much blue flag idyllic beaches across the board, with Tenby North, Tenby Castle and Tenby South beaches all blue flag. Best Pembrokeshire Beaches

Best beaches in Pembrokeshire - it's difficult to know where to start as there are numerous, and top choices essentially come down to taste and preference, but you'll find a beach for all tastes here on the Pembrokeshire coast. Wild and rip roaring and the best beaches for surfing include Whitesands Beach and Bay - this one on the St Davids peninsula is renowned in Wales and across the surfing scene for it's superb surfing conditions (see A1 surfing weblink right for more information). Whitesands has also been included in the top 20 best beaches in the world in 2005.

Other popular beaches on the Pembrokeshire coast for watersports including surfing, windsurfing and the new coasteering are Tenby Harbour and North Beach, Broad Haven and Newgale situated in St Brides Bay and Dale near the St Anns Head tip. There are other beaches where surfing and watersports are popular too. If you want peace, quiet and solitude then the Pembrokeshire coast offers this too in beaches at Traeth Llyfyn situated on the north west coast between Abereiddi and Porthgain. Other tranquil Pembrokeshire beaches include Swanlake near Manorbier, Abermawr near Fishguard amd Marloes Sands with it's views of Skomer Island.

Sheltered, calm family beach waters are perfect at Glen beach at Saundersfoot, and indeed on a choice of beaches along the Tenby resort strip such as Lydstep Haven. Find more Pembrokeshire sheltered family beaches at Caerfai Bay and Nolton Haven. Active families looking for rock pools, caves, dunes and coastline castles should head to Broad Haven South, Manorbier and Cwm yr Eglwys.

For accessible coastal walking and beaches with adjacent parking head for Newport Sands, Coppet Hall near Saundersfoot, Poppit Sands, Freshwater East and West Angle beaches.
